SSH to hide IP

I don't know much about SSH, but on my PC I usually use Bitvise to hide my real IP/Location by connecting to a SOCKS server.
Can I connect the Asus router to do the same?

I don't fully understand your last sentence, but by subscribing to a vpn provider you could also hide your IP/location - perhaps spoof is a better word than hide, I'm not sure. Have you considered using a vpn?

By the way, we really ought to start at the beginning: are you talking about hiding your home IP/location or are you meaning hiding your remote location when you are travelling and using your device on some public wifi network?
