Diversion Swap File Creation Failure on RT-BE86U (amtm fd)

HappyCamper

New Around Here
Hardware: ASUS RT-BE86U
Firmware: Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.5 (WiFi 7 Branch)
Storage: USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SanDisk)

The Issue:During the initial amtm -> fd (Format Disk) procedure, I selected "Yes" to create a 2GB Swap File. The script appeared to complete successfully, but no swap file was actually created on the partition.

Symptoms:
  1. Installing Diversion immediately after formatting caused a dnsmasq crash / Out of memory kill event because the system ran out of RAM loading the blocklist.
  2. The issue persisted through multiple re-installs and re-formats using fd.
  3. The root cause was confirmed when I ran the Skynet installer (2), which correctly detected "No Swap File Found" and successfully created one. Once Skynet created the swap, Diversion became stable.

Conclusion:The fd script on the BE86U (aarch64/3006 codebase) seems to fail to commit the swap file generation step, even when confirmed by the user.

AMTM "fd" just formats the disk. "sw" creates a swap file. Then do "ep" to install Entware. Then install Diversion,
"1", and Skynet, "2".

I suggest you change the prefix on your title from Diversion to amtm as this doesn't appear to be a Diversion issue.
