Have to agree, even Tom's HW reporting this.ServeTheHome's comments here (and there are other reports too). Sigh, guess my next NAS will not be from Synology.
They did get a fair amount of security issues over the years, but they generally do a proper job at fixing them after they are reported. I still wouldn't trust exposing a QNAP to the Internet tho, aside from their VPN server. But then, I probably wouldn't trust any of their competitor there either.QNAP seems to have some buzz but also a very sketchy security track record --- and if I can't trust the company to do security updates, what was it I was paying for again? Suggestions appreciated.
