syslog forwarding to dns name and port

I wanted to forward my syslog to logentries.com but they use a DNS name and specific port for my syslog, sure I can resolve DNS and enter the IP, but is there a way to specify destination port? if not, is this something I could request as a feature? Thank you.

I'd recommend creating a services-start script that will take care of stopping syslog, and restarting it with the desired parameters.

Not ideal however since any change to the Administration page might revert the change.
