I had a flash drive that was showing errors...after a reformat the problem went away but returned a day or so later, so I replaced the flash drive and all was OK

Hello ColinTaylor,
it worked,
but now I have the following messages:
Feb 26 10:17:17 disk_monitor: Got SIGALRM...
Feb 26 11:00:17 disk_monitor: Got SIGALRM...

Hello Collin Taylor,
I attached a USB Stick to the router and the drive check schedule is weekly.

Hi @Joergi

Sorry, I don't understand. Are you saying that you have fixed your problem by attaching a USB stick? Or do you still have a problem?

Hello ColinTaylor,
a USB Stick is attached to my router (AC87U) and the drive check schedule is weekly.
I fixed the problem:
Feb 23 23:14:35 rstats[26672]: Problem loading /mnt/sda1/Data_Rec/tomato_rstats_392c4aab61c7.gz. Still trying...
with:
Tools > Other Settings > Traffic Monitoring > Create or reset data files = Yes
but now I have the message:
Feb 26 10:17:17 disk_monitor: Got SIGALRM...

How often should the message occur for a weekly check? Once at boot and once a week thereafter (at the scheduled time)?

No idea, I'd have to look at the code to see what can generate those signals. I don't know for instance if the signal launches a scan, or merely tells the scanner to check if it's currently due for a scan.
