Teaming a Dell PowerConnect 2724

My first post here and I did try searching on this first. I'm creating a dedicated backup network and would like to have dual GB Nics on the backup server that are teamed to the switch. I've looked at the HP 1800-24G and the 3Com 2924-SFP Plus, but they cost around $350-$400. I can get a Dell PowerConnect 2724 for about $280. Does anyone have experience with the Dell? Any good reason I shouldn't save a few bucks? Not a big price difference, but all things being equal... Trying to stay in a tight budget.
