I know the N3200 has capacity for 1 more disk, but other than that, what are the real differences? They seem to be on par pricewise, but the 3200 kills the Duo on performance according to the charts.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Yes, Thecus is better with performance, but be smart and buy the Duo. Or, look at the Qnap TS219.

Help me understand why the Thecus is bad?

The Thecus performance difference is significant - 1Gb R/W of 61.4/51.0 vs. 21.4/16.1 for the ReadyNas Duo. A 3x difference .

Unfortunately, the QNAP 219 hasn't been reviewed or on the charts yet :(.

I have the same confusion too.... see my posting on this related topic.

I understand the user base for Thecus may not be as of ReadyNas, but there is no denying the performance of Thecus. I am really torn and paralyzed on what to do....
