I meant using the app. Will it connect to it while off network? I read that it won't. Sometimes i connect to my router remotely to shut it off or reboot it. Works on the 68u but not sure about 88u?In my testing it seemed like the 5 GHz range was similar between my 68U and my 86U but the throughput was much better with the 86U. My test data is here: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/86u-vs-68u-wifi-throughput.42754/
What do you mean by remote control? Outside of the LAN? You can Enable Web Access from WAN but that is not recommended for security reasons. The more secure way to log in from the WAN is by setting up a VPN server on the router. I think you may be able to set up a reboot schedule but I've never used that feature.
And thanks for the post. It does look a little bit better range. Should be enough for what I'm looking for. I'm in small apartment and trying to get full 5ghz signal everywhere. I'm almost there on the 68u.In my testing it seemed like the 5 GHz range was similar between my 68U and my 86U but the throughput was much better with the 86U.
