Hello everyone,
I'm reinstalling Vista, and am finding three Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) firmware/drivers/app downloads available that weren't available when I first bought this laptop. I know that Intel has released the Software Developer's Kit (SDK) for this hardware-based Wake-on-LAN (WOL) protocol, but I haven't found anything saying that non-systems administrators are able to make use of this for remote access.
Has anyone here managed to tinker around with AMT enough that they can explain how it can be tapped by home users?
Sounds to me like it's time for an article! The SmallNetBuilder admins would even beat Tom's Hardware to the punch!
