Time setting is one hour off

Hi,

I'm living in the Netherlands and when I set the router on "(GMT + 1:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern", the router is one hour off. For example: Real time is 11:45 CET, router system time is 12:45. When I set the router to "(GMT) Greenwich Mean Time", then the router system time is OK. I've also tried different NTP Server settings, same results. Anybody any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance....

Hi,

This due to wrong DST (daylight saving time) implementaion in the firmware.
Go for manual daylight saving time!
Code:
Manual daylight saving time settings for 2013 (in Europe):
DST start time: M3 month / 5 week / 0 weekday / 2 hour
DST end time: M10 / 4 week / 0 weekday / 2 hour
With kind regards

Hi,

It fully depends on the region of the world you are in:
In Europe the first day of the week is Monday - in US it's Sunday...

Hi,
You ticked the DST box? Does your country use DST?

Hi,

Yes, we in Europe use DST - it was switched to DST today - worked like a charm with the manual settings! :)

With kind regards

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. I did not ticked the DST-box. As we changed to DST last night, now the router system time was off with one hour late, due to GMT-setting. I've changed now this to Amsterdam and now the time is correct. Indeed I can set the DST manually by ticking the box, but eventually, this should be looked at by Asus in the FW.

Again, thanks for the reply and have a happy Easter.

Kind regards,
