I just received this router. I cannot get it to load any web pages on the 5GHZ band. 2.4 works no problem. I contacted TP-Link & they have given me a beta version of new firmware but no use either.
I am Apple user & am beginning to wonder of its an Apple problem. I have Excellent signal strength, running Mac diagnostics says my internet connection is working but It will not load a web page.
I have a Nexus 7 which works on 5ghz no problem

Any ideas?

Are you able to connect to the router with the 5GHz band? Or you don't see it at all?

Do you have different ssid's for the 2.4 and 5GHz bands?

Have you tried a different channel for the 5GHz band?

Try setting the channel width to Auto, 20 or 40 to see if it helps.

How far are you from the router?

Symptoms suggest encryption mode or key mismatch with clients.
But cancel this if you've tried no-encryption config.
