TP-Link TL-R4299G WAN Port Upgrade

PhilJ25

New Around Here
Hi All,

I've been given a TP-Link TL-R4299G by a friend. It's a great router - it has an SPF link, dual WAN redundancy and eight gigabit LAN ports.

The only downside is that the WAN ports are restricted to 100Mbps.

As this is now a discontinued product, I was wondering if there was an unofficial way to upgrade the WAN ports to 1Gbps?

Many thanks

Phil
