New Around Here
Hello everyone,
I want to setup a outdoor WiFi covering a 1200m^2 (40mx30m)trailer park.
It's next to an abandoned factory building, where the wired APs will be mounted.

Now I like a lot the Ubiquiti UniFi Outdoor Solution, because it's scalable and easy to maintain, but as it has 2x2 MIMO Omni-Antennas, it seems kind of dumb to mount them at the one end of the trailer park. (And forum people don't recommend replacing the OMNIs to sector antennas...)
So next I was thinking about MiktoTik SXT 2.4 Ghz LV4 Series, because they have a built-in 60H 60V sector antenna and MikroTik seems quite reliable with high TX radio and at a good price... Still, what I read in the forums, RouterOS is so versatile that one need fundamental knowledge about the OS...
Last, I was looking at the Ubiquiti NanoStation M2, because it is easy to setup, has sector antenna characteristics and has a second LAN-Port, so I could put the APs in a row and would not have to plug them to a router...
So... Last but not least, i want to put it up for 400eur altogether...
What do you think? Is UniFi worth changing the whole cable setup to put the UAP Outdoors in the center of the clients? Or go for quality with MikroTik? Or do the in-between-solution with Ubiquiti NanoStations?
Would be so happy to hear of what you think about it.
Regards, Robert
