TUF-BE3600 V1 vs V2

Any idea what are the hardware difeerences between the two? I see ASUS has split firmware revisions, so there must be some major change behind this.

V1 was using Broadcom BCM6764LKFEBG for RT-BE58U, RT-BE3600, and TUF-BE3600 according to internal photos from FCC MSQ-RTBE7900.

For V2, I'm guessing they swapped the Broadcom chipset to BCM6764KFEBG. This seems to be true for other manufacturers (TP-Link, Netgear and etc). Anyways, we'll know soon enough once FCC release the V2 internal photos on 12/21/2025 FCCID MSQ-RTBE8Y00.

V1 was using Broadcom BCM6764L for RT-BE58U, RT-BE3600, and TUF-BE3600 according to internal photos from FCC MSQ-RTBE7900.

For V2, I'm guessing they swapped the Broadcom chipset to a newer revision "K" for BCM6764K. This seems to be true for other manufacturers (TP-Link, Netgear and etc). Anyways, we'll know soon enough once FCC release the V2 internal photos on 12/21/2025 FCCID MSQ-RTBE8Y00.
Great answer, thanks! 👍

TUF-BE3600_V1 and RT-BE58U : BCM6764L(Partially support 6GHz ,160MHz only, no 320MHz)
TUF-BE3600_V2: BCM6764 (No 6GHz at all), cheaper one, now US$ 55~60.

Now that FCC have uploaded the V2 internal photos, RT-BE58U V2 / RT-BE3600 V2, TUF-BE3600 V2, and RT-BE55 is confirmed to be using BCM6764KFEBG.
