Unable to open ports after upgrading firmware.

I have an ASUS RT_AC5300 and upgraded the firmware to 380.61, now for some odd reason I can't port forward any port, I type in all the info, check the port and it says closed. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

How are you checking the ports? A port will show as closed unless there is actually something listening on it.

I really feel dumb about this posting, you are absolutely correct. It took me almost half a day to figure it out, like you said unless there is something listening or using the port, it will show as closed. I was opening some RTSP ports for some of my cameras and as soon as I changed the port on the cameras the port became open. Thanks for your reply. I was using a website to check for the ports and also a Mac app called Open Port Checker. I learned something new today, I am new at this port forwarding topic and finally I found a good forum to find good help and knowledgeable people!

:D Good to see you got it working. I prefer it if solutions are easy rather than the alternative ;)
