Will i get better 2.4ghz range and wifi speeds?
Wired or wireless AiMesh node and to what main router are also important details…
It will run as a wired AiMesh node to a main GT-AX11000.Unlikely. There is a chance RT-AC5300 4-stream 2.4GHz radio has better range than RT-BE92U 2-stream radio.
In networking bigger doesn't translate to better. Bigger Asus models have 1kg of non-functional gaming plastic...
I prefer to get the latest wifi7 for future proofing.Actually, you will do better with an AX86U Pro. Costs less, too. Check the specs out.
I have 2 of them hooked in an AiMesh, it's been perfect for me, WiFi 7 speeds letting me get the full bandwidth of my 1GBPS Down / 350 MBPS up from my ISP as if I was using LAN. Didn't have a single disconnection or issue since day one, this router's a steal for what it offers IMHOJust installed the BE92U I got better 2.4ghz range and faster 5 and 6ghz wifi speeds.
My 1gbps connections is now being maxed over wifi.
