UPNP on or off?

I have an ASUS RT AC5300 and 8 ip cameras. I heard the UPNP can create vulnerabilities in your network. Can I turn it off?

shoulnt need to, upnp is only an issue if you have a roue application exploit it by breaching your network, by that time its already too late, so no dont turn it off since a lot of devices need it.

Thank you very much for your input, I am trying to turn off or disable features of my AC5300 router that I don't need and may slow down performance.
