Use OpenVPN instead of PPTP to use VNC remotely

New Around Here
Hey All! Hoping I can get help with this. I searched and the more I read the more confused I get!

iOS 10 is dropping support for PPTP. I was using that to remotely login and use VNC from remote locations.

I am trying to migrate to OpenVPN. I can set up a server just fine and connect to it from my iPad without problems.

The issues I am having is that the OVPN gives me an IP that's on a different subnet so I can't connect to my VNC server. With my PPTP setup, I had it assign IP's in the same 192.168.0.x network as my home network (outside of the DHCP's pool). It seems I can't do that with an OpenVPN, what am I missing?

I am using Merlin's obviously.

There're two options:
1. Either use tap/udp interface.
2. Or set up VNC server's firewall to accept connections from OpenVPN's subnet.

Set dhcp span to 192.168.0.2 -> 192.168.0.200 and set the ovpn server to 192.168.0.201 -> 192.168.0.255 that should do it for your.
