using end of life wi-fi access points behind router

New Around Here
I recently received a notice from Netgear that the EX7000 has reached end of life and will no longer receive security updates. I run two EX7000s as wi-fi extenders for different parts of our house. Both are hard-wired into LAN ports on my router, Asus RT-AX88U, which handles NAT addressing on my LAN and is the only device connected to the modem (via LAN port) that receives internet and cable.

I would like to confirm that with the above set up, I can continue using the EX700s without worrying about not receiving anymore security updates from Netgear.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Newer routers can run better WiFi security such as WPA3. WPA/WPA2 is a potential issue only if you think that your neighbor or someone else within radio range is going to hack into your network. With a secure paraphrase this isn't something that is likely to happen so use the strongest paraphrase that you can. You are correct that your main router will handle the rest of the security but again use strong paraphrases and passwords.
