In Tim Higgins review ( http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/nas/...o-the-charts-buffalo-terastation-pro-quad-wss ), he mentioned how the Buffalo Terastation Pro Quad and Buffalo Terastation Pro Quad WSS hardware is pretty much same.
My question:
If I replace all 4 Terastation Pro Quad WSS's HDD (at the same time) with Terastation Pro Quad (Linux) HDD, will Pro Quad WSS boot and work with Linux OS? Essentially making Pro Quad WSS a normal Linux based TeraStation Pro Quad?
How different is the hardware between these 2? As the OS and firmware is stored on the disks and if hardware is same, it should be possible right?
