VPN Director and DNS Director Simultaneously?

If the same client is specified in both VPN Director and DNS Director how will the DNS server get selected? Will the client end up using the DNS server configured in the VPN settings and ignore the DNS server specified in DNS Director, or the other way around (the client will use the DNS server specified in DNS Director and ignore the VPN DNS server settings)? And does it matter if we're dealing with OpenVPN vs Wireguard VPN?

If I'm not mistaken, VPN happens first so those clients will use the DNS of your VPN, it will never hit DNS director (or your firewall, parental controls, etc).
