VPN L2TP Server Support for ASUS Routers

Given that iOS has removed support for PPTP due to security issues, are there any plans, or is it even possible to change the current software to L2TP?

I'm currently running the RT-N66. I use it to VPN and it also routes my web servers.
 
No. OpenVPN is the technology that I focus on, and it will fulfill pretty much any scenario, from point2point to site2site.
