VPN & RDP - Netgear R7000

I have setup OpenVPN and can connect to my router just fine. But, when i try to RDP into one of my machines inside the network, it just times out. Do i need to open ports or forward ports on the router? No other device between the router and the desktop, except for a switch.

Can you ping that machine?

Check if there is a firewall on that machine preventing RDP.

I can ping fine and I can connect to this machine when i am inside the network.

Found solution to this problem. I was using the computer name and not the IP, using the IP it let me connect.
