VPN says its running but it should be off

How can I fix this. My friends AC68U router under VPN says "Open VPN Server 1" is running. Everything under the Open VPN client is off. Any idea? I've tried rebooting it, turning it off and on and it still says that. He was using PIA for a VPN but hasn't for almost a year. It doesn't even have his PIA user name or password entered anymore. Could something be running on his computer causing this.

Currently he is running this version 3.0.0.4.374.43_2-16E1j9527 If I update it will it save his settings?

figured it out, it was under VPN server, had to turn off Open VPN from the drop down, didn't see it at first because PPTP was highlighted
