What is the connecting ip we saw in the openvpn server log.
In the OP? I think those rejected connections are all public IPs failing to get past openvpn. Unless you are connecting from your lan, I don't think you will see private IPs.
 
I get similar log entries while using an uncommon port number (over 20000). Is this the result of a port scanning that checks everything up to 65535 or is 443 still open somehow, even though nothing that I configured uses is? I also have remote HTTPS access, but it is also on an unusual port.

Strangely enough, I get the same speeds for OpenVPN with TCP and UDP, so I'm using TCP for the added peace of mind that transferred files will not be accidentally damaged.
