WAN Disconection

Every few days the WAN does not renew the dhcp lease. This happens on different FW versions. I have to manually disable WAN and enable it again to get it working.

Why doesn't the router automatically do this?
RT-AC86U with latest Asus FW.

Solved by calling ISP and get the ONT power adaptor replaced.

But I turn off and on the WAN only from the router GUI. I do not physically turn off and on the ONT. Did you have that too? However, did you have to turn off/on the ONT?

no I dont. Same as you, the problem solved temporary by turning WAN on and off.
DHCP still expired itself again in a few days. By somehow, I called my ISP and they came and gave me another ONT power adaptor,
also they did a signal reset on their side.
And the problem didn't come back since then.
Again, I am not sure is it a AC86U problem or an ISP problem.

Perhaps some sort of ISP 'levels' issue... I'd press them to take a look.

for test i replaced original power adaptor from my ZTE ONT from 12V, 0,5A to 12V, 2A. We will see

after replacing the power supply (December 10), I had no WAN disconnection.
