What is, ntp: start NTP update.?

I saw this in my system log being repeated a couple of times, is it bad?

Network Time Protocol. It has to synchronize time on your router so updating is doing that
ever so often.

Oh so isn't bad then? if I see it doing that at the beginning of every hour?

no it's not bad. Most Linux systems run NTP to sync the time. All my Linux systems (4 of them) do so too
