Only ipq8074 can be found on the Qualcomm website, showing that its frequency is 2GHz. It is speculated that rax120 and ax89x use ipq8078, but actually use ipq8074_002.

I think ipq8074 and ipq8078 are actually the same. ipq8078 is suitable for business users, ipq8074 is suitable for home users.
I don't know if _002 has a special meaning, what is the difference with _000, is it a new batch or is it related to ipq8074V2?

It seems that ipq8074A and ipq8078A have been shipped. The question is what is their relationship with ipq8074V2 and ipq8078V2 on the Qualcomm website?

ipq8074_000, ipq8074_002, ipq8074A_000. This is the chip number we can see. Can this correspond to ipq8074 and ipq8074V2 on the Qualcomm website?
Hope someone can confuse me, thanks.

Hi, I am not 100% sure, but can speculate.
In the case of chip manufacturing, it looks like a stepping revision. It can either be tweaks to the architecture of the chip design, or a process node revision.
Most likely a stepping revision.

Right now Qualcomm has reversion 2 out. The Rax120 uses version 1. Its older and does not have OFDMA uplink and downlink. There are a few other features you get with version 2.

Version 1 has downlink only. (Forgot to put that)

Part Numbers: IPQ8072 v2, IPQ8078 v2, IPQ8076 v2, IPQ8074 v2

Version 1 of the Qualcomm chip does support DL OFDMA in both bands. The RAX120 has this enabled. The V1 chip does not and cannot support UL OFDMA.

Interesting...

According to the FCC internal photos (PY317300397) the RAX120 contains a Qualcomm IPQ8074 002 chip. Netgear has long claimed the RAX120 uses a 64-bit 2.2GHz quad-core processor.

Does this mean the IPQ8074 (002) = IPQ8074 v2?
