New Around Here
Good evening
Thank you very much for sharing your great work.

Asuswrt-Merlin has a new interesting setting if one add a fixed IP Address in the LAN-DHCP Server configuration:

Does anybody knows how we can use it / what it is doing?

Thanks a lot for any help!
kind regards,
Thomas

That setting has been around for awhile. Present in Asus firmware too. As it says you can assign the manual client a specific DNS Server

One potential use is to bypass the defaul DHCP assigned DNS servers for one specific client.

In the past I've used it to test (ex: testing pihole with one client on the network, via DHCP assignment vs. manually assigned) in preparation for rolling out a new service for all clients.

Sorry for resurrecting the old discussion.
Can I put more than one DNS server in that field, e.g. comma separated list of IPs?

So why not just try to do it and see what doesn't happen? So nope you only get one DNS in that field.
