When will 3.0.0.4.260.21 be out?

Not before 3.0.0.4.260.20. :P

And not before Asus actually releases the 260 source code. I can't do anything without source code.

N66U's 260 uses the exact same wireless driver as 246 - same MD5 sums. At least one person so far having the same issues as 246, so most likely I will stick to the build 220 wireless driver when I start work on 260.20.

Great!

I don't understand why Asus doesn't revert.

That also surprised me, considering when I talked with one of my contacts at Asus, he confirmed that he had also seen an increased number of reports in wifi issues with build 246. I let him know at that time that the issue was resolved for my "test subjects" when I reverted that driver back to the 220 version.

Could be that they were unable to reproduce the issue on their end, and dismissed it as being "end-user errors", which I doubt would be the case considering the numerous reports that reverting back to 220 fixed those issues for almost everyone.

On my own end I had 4 testers confirming that the 220 driver fixed their issue, and one who still had issues - which was probably a different issue in his case.

It's impossible for Asus to reproduce everything because the wide range of wireless devices.
So you can't say user error if you ask me.
If they confirmed the increased number of reports it seems a bit ignorant on their part. :(

It's just my theory. I haven't talked with them about that issue since last time I reported that reverting to an older driver seemed to fix it.

OK, no problem, I guess we will never know.
Glad there is something to choose by the end user.

+1 for RMerlin :D
