How can you find the WIFI driver version? I can see under Tools>System info tab, there is a driver version, is that the WIFI driver version or the Linux driver version? Or I am talking the same thing?

Is there a WIFI driver change from Merlin 384.13 to the current Merlin Alpha version for the 86U?

My current AiMesh setup is as per my signature.

I looked on my AC68U and that number also matched the log file for a Broadcom wireless version number, so I would say yeah you could compare both firmwares and see if it changes. Although, the version number doesn't necessarily have to change because sometimes Merlin will re-use/merge older binary blobs with a newer SDK when he has to.
Code:
eth1: Broadcom BCM4360 802.11 Wireless Controller 6.37.14.126 (r561982)

Asus can make changes to the driver code, which won't bump its version - only merging newer Broadcom code would. So don't just check the version, also check the build date.
