WiFi Uplink vs Downlink?

I know what the difference between Upload/Download etc and this should be a simple question for most people but has got me scratching my head.

When the word "Uplink" is used does that mean that the router is sending information to the client, or is the client sending information to the router? Same with Downlink, is the router sending or receiving when Downlink is being referred to?

Depends how you use the terms.

If from the clients perspective, downlink is when it is receiving data. And vice versa.

That was no help at all lol.

I'm referring to how SNB uses the terms. In the router charts benchmarks it shows "2.4 GHz Downlink, 2.4 GHz Uplink" etc.

Still doesn't answer my question. It's cool I'll wait for someone else to chime in. Thanks anyways. :)
