will this Omada setup work

New Around Here
Hello everyone,

I would like to ask for advice that is relatively simple – will this Omada setup work?

I am especially interested if I am not missing anything with the ER706W router – can it really serve as connection point where other devices can connect via cable and also Wi-Fi? Will there not be any conflict with the rest of the system?

And if this setup will not work – what changes do I need to make?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Ivo

what are the goals, use case, for the network ?
What are the bandwidth needs for each user ? high usage paths for each ?
Have you used the Omada wifi map tools to estimate the number and placement of APs ?

Degrub, thanks.

It is a home network, relatively bigger house and garden. Around 30 clients, most of them stationary. Majority are smart plugs and other things that do not need a lot of data. In general I would say we do not send/receive a lot of data.

Did not use Omada app.
I currently have Asus aimesh setup, 4 routers, wired. It is very unreliable and Asus was not able to help. Therefor I am looking for something different. I worked on my current "AP" placement and I believe I found what works for me - which are these 4 APs in locations where they are so I want to put the new ones into same locations.

What I am mainly looking for is reliability - I do not want to reboot my network few times a week, I do not want to solve mysterious stuff, like some devices suddenly not able to connect to some APs, and many other things that bug me.

I would appreciate any feedback from you and please also focus on my original question which is - will the setup I created work?

Thanks!
Ivo
