thiggins Mr. Easy Staff member Oct 10, 2011 #2 The Win7 built-in VPN can connect using PPTP or L2TP/IPsec. The latter is more secure and plenty secure as long as you use a strong (secure) key or certificate-based authentication. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Layer_2_Tunneling_Protocol#L2TP.2FIPsec
