Wired PC can't browse through Linksys AC1200

New Around Here
Non-network guy here replacing old WRT54G with an AC1200. Pretty much exact swap of cables, config settings, etc. All wireless points are working fine, as are most wired devices.

I have one PC (main email/browsing desktop) that is wired in and can do IMAP email and ping, but both IE and Firefox are not able to load pages. Linksys support has had me go to a static IP on the PC (allowed some new tabs to open, but existing tabs would not refresh), and then a static DNS in the router (8.8.8.8) - which seemed to work for a day, then all browsing stopped working the next day.

AC1200 is doing MAC filtering (even the wired connections are listed), and hidden SSID (not that it should matter for wired, right?).

PC is home assembled running Windows 7 with what I believe to be the latest versions of IE and Firefox available for the platform. Browsing worked fine before the router swap, and other than the changes requested by Linksys, no changes have been made.

I do still have the WRT54G, but have not yet put it back into the network to confirm all still works as it did.

Any thoughts on where to look for issues and/or solutions?

Thanks

Stock advice. Do a factory reset on the router, change admin password, SSID and pasword, then power down and reboot the wired PC and see what happens. If it works then start adding the other settings you want one by one to isolate the one causing the problem.

P.S. Also try another Ethernet cable.

Didn't do a reset of the router when I installed it, but all the rest, except for the cable, has been done (at least once). Grabbing a new cable tonight, I guess, and go through it again. Likely going to try putting the WRT54G back in and see if I can see anything in the settings there that triggers memories (it's been many years since it was worked on last).

It just seems so strange that the PC can get out with everything but browsing.

Thanks

Keep in mind that your WRT-1200AC supports ipv6 by default, where the older WRT54G did not - take a look and try disabling ipv6 if it's enabled.
