Wireguard download speed to issue - Merlin 388.1 - GT-AX11000

Just installed Merlin 388.1 and seem to have an issue with download speeds when Wireguard is enabled, no vpn clients connected just enabling the Wireguard server causes my download speeds to drop from around 940Mbps to around 500Mbps, disabling it returns the download speed to normal, ipsec and openvpn do not affect the download speed when enabling, anyone come across this issue
