wireless log - channel cleared for radar - how to interpret

MKLBNS

New Around Here
Here is a wireless log screenshot from my RT-AX88u (running latest Merlin firmware)

Here is hte same screenshot from my RT-AX82U (running latest Merlin-gnuton firmware)

Both devices have the same following settings:

Channel bandwidth = 20/40/80 Mhz
Control channel = auto (plus "Auto select channel including DFS channels" checkbox checked)
Extension channel = auto

Question 1: how to interpret "channel cleared for radar: 112/80" while at the same time the current channel is 112/80? Same story for 52/80 on the RT-AX82U.

Question 2: what could be the reason there is no "Utilization" item for the RT-AX88u?

Not sure why you share generic Asus FAQ info on DFS channels. I am aware on the working and reasons for DFS channels. I checked your link and I don't find any explanation for my 2 questions.

To clarify:

I interpret the line "channel cleared for radar: 112/80" as information from the router saying it applied DFS rules (detected radar) and moved away from channel 112/80. But at the same time the router tells me: I am using currently channel 112/80.

So that contradicts in my view and for that reason I am asking this question.

Q1. It means the channel passed CAC test and is available to use. It will be monitored for changes.
Q2. No idea.

Question 2: what could be the reason there is no "Utilization" item for the RT-AX88u?
The information is not always provided by the driver, it depends on the SDK version.
