New Around Here
Hi all,

I am currently in the process of renovating my apartment. However, today I realized that I have forgotten an antenna cable from my living room to my closet where I'll have all my networking equipment.

This means, that I cannot place my modem in the closet as planned.

The idea I have is to place the modem in the living room together with a wireless N bridge and the place another bridge that I can connect to my router.

The setup would then be like:
Cable modem -> Wireless Bridge device -> Wireless Bridge device -> Router -> Wired and wireless clients.

My router is an Asus WL500-G Premium with DD-WRT firmware.

My internet connection speed will be 50Mbit downlink and 2Mbit uplink. Will my setup be able to cope this?

... aaaand yes.. I was VERY annoyed when I realized this!

Best Regards

I would use a powerline connection vs. wireless. It will be more reliable. Make sure it's HomePlug AV (200 Mbps).

If you want wireless, try a pair of NETGEAR WNHDE111s.
