can someone help me please?

i want to wake my Synology NAS via WoL (over internet). tried to open UTP port 9 with IP 192.168.1.255 on the port forwarding page but this doesn't work. also tried to enter the static ip of my NAS with port 9.

while browsing for some helpful info i found an article about WoL on the rt-n56u . There i've read this:

"...Then, go to http://my.router/Advanced_Switch_Content.asp and set 'Green Ethernet?' to 'No'. (just disable 'Green Ethernet')"

but i can't find this setting on my rt-n66u.

would be nice if someone can help me solve this problem. :)

thx, but ...

i've already flashed with Rmerlins latest build and it's fantastic!
but i have to enter the webinterface to wake my nas.
i've set the router to https access only and using ASUS own ddns service.
Hope that's the right thing to do.
i want to try VPN because Rmerlin recommended it to me, but don't know much about it. (what it exactly does, how to configure, how to use)
my Network includes the rt-n66u, a synology 212+ (per Lan), an Airport Express in Bridge-Mode for my PS3, 2 MacBooks and 2 iPhones (all per Wlan).

Asus's VPN page on the router has all you need to get started, including links to FAQ on their website. That's where you should start.

Otherwise, wait for AiCloud. It will provide an easy to use application that will let you (amongts other things) wake up a device using an iPhone or an Android device.
