Worth upgrading from RT-AC88U?

Hello,

What is the "best" upgrade path from an ASUS RT-AC88U? (Or given the information below, should I ride out my current system for a bit longer?) Was considering the RT-AX88U, but not sure if it's worth the upgrade as my current setup mostly works.

Background:
1.) I have 3x RT-AC88U's configured with AiMesh and it's mostly stable (After a lot of tuning and wired backhaul).
2.) For whatever reason, the whole system occasionally locks up (within 2-6 weeks if not rebooted) - so, I scheduled a weekly reboot, which helps, but it still sometimes happens.
3.) I routinely get the dreaded RealTek "switch not responsive" errors on 2 out of the 3 nodes (not sure why, but it's annoying.) Plug/unplug doesn't really seem to change that behavior, but like i said, even with the errors, it works most of the time.

Requirements:
1.) I did end up using all 8 network ports - so the 8 ports per node is a requirement for my environment.
2.) More stability/performance than the current RT-AC88U's are giving me, it's not horrible, but I am tired of babysitting it.
3.) Having a=each node with 8 ports in one device REALLY cleaned up the look of devices/wired/etc for my home - which is why selected the RT88U in the first place.
4.) Not sure if the RT-AX88U has the same realtek switch problem or not.
5.) Wired backhaul for mesh setup.

Thanks in advance!

RT-AX88U is an old router from 2018. With your requirements you have to go with RT-BE88U units.
