Got a couple of questions regarding WPA3 support. I've got 2 RT-AX88Us, one router node and one aimesh node, wired backhaul. Both running Merlin 384.16.

I changed my wifi authentication method from wpa2 personal to wpa2/wpa3 personal, and got a message saying aimesh would become invalid if i enabled wpa3. Per this article: https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1042500 aimesh should still work if both nodes support wpa3 right? as far as I can tell, aimesh is working for me.

Second question, is there a way i can tell which devices are authentication using wpa2 vs wpa3?

Thanks for the help!

Personally I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vrem.wifianalyzer on Android phones. Marked SAE. Some even show it in wifi settings.
Some devices may be harder though...
An easy way for devices that don't show it well simply make it wpa3 only for a moment. If it can connect it's wpa3 if not, well not [emoji39]

I only use WPA3 clients on main network. WPA3/WPA2 on a always on guest network for temporary computers or "retro" devices without access to intranet.
