I have a WRT610N upstairs. The 5GHz radio is not used since I don't have any devices w/ 5GHz cards.
I'd like to extend the range of my 2.4GHz radio. I could get another WRT610N and use it as a repeater (using their 5GHz radios AND w/ dd-wrt firmware)
or
could I do this?:
I have an unused WRT160N.
Could I use a WET610N connected to the WRT610N (using the 5GHz N radios) and use the WET610N as the "internet connection" for the WRT160N (connected to the WRT160N's "Internet" port)?
Doing it the second way I'd end up w/ two separate 2.4GHz N networks (one from the WRT610N and the other from the WRT160N) instead of one seamless network, right?
