DNScrypt XBOX NAT Moderated/Limited

Use Upnp, No port forwarding, allow dhcp to assign the ips for the console, set console networking settings to automatic. Is the easy way.

Portforwarding is the complicated way, open these ports, forward to xbox ip.

  • UDP: 88, 500, 3544, 4500
  • TCP & UDP: 3074

DMZ is the dangerous way, but also works

I have 3 console, xbox one and x, xbox 360.
But I think now, I have uninstalled DNScrypt and the problem is partial go out.
Now some time I have nat open , some time moderate…..with recheck nat go open!
I have dsl ac68u with last GNUTON fw.
I think the problem it is in Gnuton fork or Merlin.
I have upnp enabled.
Thanks.

Check for a Nat full cone Nat option if there is one, I'm not sure if your unit is on the newer Linux version that has the feature.

I'm on VDSL 2 but I'm using a DSL modem and a Asus router in bridge mode since I'll be getting optic fibre soon ish.

Note that full cone is less secure than symetric, you can still achieve open nat with symetric.

That would be a negative, when I had symetric I had issues getting open nat, on a few games and also with two PC's and an two Xbox consoles.
