New Around Here
I have had an AX3000/AX58 router for over a year now, and finally decided to try and customize some settings.

The router is running fw 388.1, and (FINALLY) is successfully connected to airvpn using a client vpn setting. I would like to set up a guest network which will connect through this vpn, and I found this thread:

It makes sense up until this line:
"Using your preferred SSH client/terminal, ..."

I know what SSH is (I am running Linux mint, use SSH every day to connect to another server) but I have no idea how to connect to the Asus router through SSH, and I cannot find this option in the settings. How do I connect to this router through SSH? Must this capability be enabled first? (this is all local, LAN stuff, not remote).

When I try "ssh (router ip address)" it fails (port connection refused).

thanks!
