I purchased this thing about 2 years ago.
put 2 2TB drives in it and have not had a problem until today.
I tried to connect to the file share and it would not connect.
I then tried the admin and it said would you like to setup the system.
I look at the unit and both drive lights are out and it has no volume.
so I shut it down and rebooted.
I now have drive lights but still no volume.
I see no way to repair something that no longer exist.
Is there anything I can do?
thanks for any help

Hope you have a backup of the data stored on it? Was it a RAID1 array?

Was the data personal or just media?

This just gets weirder.
I shut it down, opened the front and blew out the dust, pulled the drives and reseated them.
I booted it up and showed drive lights, 2nd drive was red. Shut down and reset both drives and rebooted.
all the lights were green so I logged in as admin. Everything shows correct and healthy.
wow this is crazy.
Should I be concerned, and should I be shopping for another unit ?

Was the unit recently moved? If it was, you should be much more gentle when doing so.

If not, I would be looking to backup any important data 'right now' and looking for a new NAS (QNAP or Synology 'only').
