I have several AC66U/AC68U/AC87U acting as routers for my home and offices. On an AC66U and AC87U, I have a IPv6 tunnel configured via Tunnelbroker.net. The tunnel on AC87U has been stable and just works. However, the tunnel on the AC66U will hang sporadically and stops passing IPv6 traffic.

I am at wits end. Any thoughts?

They are all on Merlin 378.55......

Have a looksee at https://forums.he.net/index.php?topic=2680.0 I assume you are using the he.net tunnel?

Sometimes IPv6 and NAT Acceleration don't get along together on the MIPS routers depending on your ISP. Try disabling NAT Acceleration if you have it enabled.

I have ipv6 with he.net. It works great. Nat or not. I originally used 6rd from centurylink. Was fed up with no 6rdns. With he.net 6rdns works. The ipv6 will hang if you don't specify the correct tunnel MTU. Mine is set for 1472. You can use "0" or "1480" I think 1472 is stable. Have you checked this out?

Thanks! Will try now.

I have it set at 1452 to be safe.......

HE.net IPV6 tunnels are great - esp. if your ISP doesn't do IPv6 (hello CoxHSI, it's 2015 and still no IPv6?)

I've run into a problem a couple of times with tunnels doing exactly what you are experiencing - and the fix was to delete the tunnel config (on tunnelbroker) and on the router/AP, and start over...

Thanks sfx! I already did kill the old tunnel and started a new. Same problem. But the fix really is to disable NAT acceleration as john9527 mentioned.....

john, thanks for your help! Disabled NAT accel on my ac66u and tunnel still up for over 12hours and counting!
