RP-AX58: Poor speeds using AiMesh but ok in Access Point mode

Hi, I have an Asus XT12 which I'm using as the main router and 3 plug-in 'range extender' units, RP-AX58 which are connected via ethernet to the XT12. Each RP-AX58 is plugged in one of the 3 bedrooms as wifi coverage from the main router is extremely poor because of thick walls. My internet...

TP Link Archer AXE16000 - poor upload speeds (~1 Mbps)

Hi, I have an FTTH Etisalat 300/120 Mbps line and have just bought a TP link AXE16000 router, this is to replace an Asus RT-AX89X. But no matter what I try, i never get more than 1-2 Mbps on upload with the TP Link. QoS is off. Anyone else seeing the same? It seems other TP Link AX models...

Any way to switch off wifi auto channel selection on RAX120?

I recently bought a RAX120 and despite manually selecting a channel on the 5ghz band in router settings I've noticed the router changes the chosen 5ghz channel to a different channel later on. 'Smart connect' is switched off. So I'm guessing the router is using auto channel selection despite no...

Any way to get 5ghz channels 149+ on UK bought Asus routers?

Since channels 149-165 on the 5ghz band are now legal in UK by OFCOM (since 2020 AFAIK), is there any way you can unlock these channels on any Asus router? Its clear Asus couldn't give 2 hoots about UK users, and whilst Netgear isn't much better but at least they allow you to access channels...

    Wi-Fi 6 Release 2 revealed

https://www.wi-fi.org/news-events/newsroom/wi-fi-certified-6-release-2-adds-new-features-for-advanced-wi-fi-applications I wonder if existing wifi 6 routers can be upgraded to 'release 2' through a firmware upgrade? Or does it require different (newer) hardware altogether?

Does the Asus Blue Cave support mediabridge mode?

According to the specs on the Asus website it does, but looking at the user manual (p86), there's no mention of this: Can someone clear this up please? (thinking of buying this to use as a wireless bridge, aka media bridge mode) Cheers

    RAX120 v2

To those who have a RAX120 v2, does it actually say 'V2' anywhere on the router and/or router settings? I've just had a RAX120 delivered today from the Netgear UK store and was expecting this to be V2 but it simply says 'RAX120' everywhere, there's no mention of V2 anywhere. However I managed to...

Broadcom wifi 6 router v Qualcomm wifi 6 router

Been very happy with my Netgear RAX200 router (Broadcom based) except for the fact that I can't run a OpenVPN client on it. So bought an Asus RT-AX89X (QCA based) and had high hopes for it. Whilst I had no issues running OpenVPN, wifi coverage (both on wifi 5 & 6) on it was worse than the AX200...

Hi, To those who have the Linksys EA9500 (v1 or v2) can you tell me if the static routing function on the stock firmware ( under connectivity > advanced routing > Static Routing) works? Netgear R9000 (X10) LED bugs - NETGEAR Guy please read

If ‘NETGEAR Guy’ is reading this, I hope you can get the NG firmware developers to sort these bugs out on your flagship router as the Netgear staff/mods are blatantly ignoring these on the official NG forums. From stock firmware 1.0.2.40 onwards, the LEDs on the router don’t behave the way...
