    Locked out of AC1900

Funny you say this.. Since I AM using CHROME! I was looking into the certificates.. but I don't see any listed for the router's IP address.,.. maybe I'm not looking in the right area?

    Locked out of AC1900

Thanks.. Should have guessed... 8443 is a common port. I should have taken a screen shot before I hit apply. The port setting is clearly stated. And I am in error. I think that the authentication is for accessing the router across the LAN. i.e. requiring use of https and a port. Or if I am...

    Locked out of AC1900

Need some help with not being able to access my AC 1900 I did something stupid. I was looking around the Administration under Advanced settings and selected System I saw that the authentication method can be changed from both to only "https" ... so I changed it and pushed apply. Now I get...

    QNAP or Synology?

Thanks thiggins. Can you shed light on HOW the Hybrid RAID works.. somewhere I read that it employs a RAID 5 like system but with some alteration I suspect?

    QNAP or Synology?

I presently have a QNAP 559 Pro II NAS. I need to upgrade to a larger capacity NAS. Specifically an 8 bay model. I have a question for the users. In comparing Qnap and Synology it appears that the newer Synology NAS's have a hybrid raid mode. Does QNAP have a similar mechanism to increase...

help choosing RAID version for new TS-451

Hi. I have had experience with RAID 5 and do NOT recommend it. It is fine when it is working but as soon as there is a disk failure the system is stressed to rebuild. It takes VERY long to rebuild.. and if you encounter what I had.. an Unrecoverable read error then the ENTIRE array goes down...

computer connected to 2 ISPs at once?

Thanks.. How do I assign priority to the wired vs the wireless paths? Yes.. I don't get bonding unfortunately! But it is a poormans setup for dual wan. Albeit the rest of the network is inaccessible since it is connected to the router.

computer connected to 2 ISPs at once?

Yes.. since the primary modem is bridged, in THEORY only 1 port should be used.. but i have plugged in 2 computers and they both have access to the internet!

    Dual WAN and RT-AC66U

Thanks Captain. I suspect that it has NOT been fixed.. I will play around with it some more... It is not a critical must have since the primary service usually is back up quickly.. My limit is much smaller on the second service and it would be good to know usage. Thanks for the input.

    Dual WAN and RT-AC66U

Hi all. I am currently running a RT-AC66U with 3.0.0.4.376_2524. I have set up dual wan. I noticed that under Traffic Manager/Traffic Monitor the cumulative daily totals for received data is non existent when the modem has failed over to the secondary WAN. The upload totals are accurate but...

computer connected to 2 ISPs at once?

Just stumbled across something odd. I have 2 ISPs. I connected my computer (wired) to my primary modem which was bridged. I then forgot about the wireless card configured to connect to my router which was connected to to the second ISP. The network icon at the bottom right says that I am...

RT AC66U 3.0.0.4.374_4561 and DUAL WAN

skipped 374_4422 running 4561 for 48 hrs. Dual WAN with cable as primary WAN and DSL as secondary. NO crashes. FYI Resumption from failover back to primary WAN now works! (don't know if it was fixed with 4422 but now working... so far..) finally able to restore without rebooting.

ASUS RT-AC66R Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.374.726 "DUAL WAN"

Thanks.. I also note that the traffic monitor was also noted to be inaccurate by others. Any insight to this?

ASUS RT-AC66R Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.374.726 "DUAL WAN"

Anyone try this feature? I have a few observations I have it set up... 1. Does fail over from Cable on WAN to DSL on Lan1 port. When primary WAN comes back on line it appears to stay on fail over... i.e. does not check primary. no way so far to address this that I can see. 2. Traffic monitor...
