    I just had an issue whereby my AC68U simply "froze". It stayed powered up but all connections to the router, wired and wireless, were lost, so no internet access from any PC, laptop, phone, etc. Wireless clients were disconnected from the wireless network and I couldn't access the router GUI...

    I'm now thinking it's a cabling issue. I bought some new Cat 6 cables when I replaced the router and switched back to the old Cat5e ones a couple of days ago to rule them out as the problem. No dropouts since then!

    Interesting, thanks for the pointer! I did try a manual method of achieving the same thing based on an old post on this forum. My throughput went through the floor though when I tried it, even if I set the tx power to 15.5dBm, supposedly the same as it is now. I will give it another go though...

    I just upgraded my router to a RT-AC68U. I'm experiencing seemingly random disconnections every few hours (but not at regular intervals) from the internet and router. I'm using Merlin 378.55 firmware. Usually the problem results in having to power off the router and power back on again...

    My old Plusnet standard issue Thomson TG582 was showing signs of dying so I've upgraded to the RT-AC68U (Merlin 378.55 firmware). Pretty impressed in most respects, other than the fact that the wireless range on the 2.4GHz band doesn't seem much better than the old Thomson unit. I've moved it...
