    Yep... same here... latest Merlin WRT, same issue... only help is cold (re)start On my RT-AC88U, it's always CPU1 that's at 100%... (CPU temp 78 or 79°)

    Fully understandable... I'm in fact looking to things like FirewallBuilder (which looks nice... to check whether the output is usable with Merlin...?) or put an ASA 5508X in the loop... old(er) men also need toys, sometimes... ;-

    The first 'stupid' example I had (there are others) was that I have a Xerox printer for which I want to block everything excepted SMTP on port 587 (TCP only, as it's over HTTPS), so I've in fact to block everything from 1:586 in one rule, and another one for the range 588:65535... not really...

    Well USB tethering works on Linux, but requires some additional modules and other things (cf. Gentoo article)... so indeed probably not that trivial... Still, when my WAN is dead, I'd love to be able to use my phone's (or tablet's) 4G connection as a backup, instead of paying yet another abo...

    using 390.59 Merlin on an AC88U (aka AC3100) I'm just having trouble this morning with my ISP, and I'd love being able to use my iPhone as a backup Internet connection... can do so from my PC, but that prevents me from using my Xerox MFD, as well as all the things that hang on my internal...
